Vietnamese volleyball player receives a significant decision at age 27 ahead of the second phase of the National Championship

Lưu Thị Ly Ly, the libero for Binh Chủng Thông Tin – TCT Đông Bắc women's volleyball team, received exciting news right before the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

Libero Lưu Thị Ly Ly was recently promoted from Senior Lieutenant to Captain in the professional military ranks.

Born in 1998, Ly Ly is the libero for Binh Chủng Thông Tin – TCT Đông Bắc women's volleyball team, known for her accurate first-step reception, quick reflexes, and relentless playing spirit. She has been part of the Vietnam U23 team that won the bronze medal at the Asian Championship and has frequently achieved top results at youth levels.

Thanks to the coaching of Phạm Văn Long, Ly Ly has performed excellently and maintained stable form since early 2025, becoming a strong pillar for her team and earning a call-up to the national team by coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt.

Raised in a family with a sports background, Ly Ly began playing in 2011 and emerged as a defensive libero sensation from 2016 in numerous youth competitions.

This year, Lưu Thị Ly Ly was included in the Vietnamese women's volleyball team roster for the SEA V.League 2025. In this tournament, coach Tuấn Kiệt's team won the second leg championship.

Aside from Ly Ly, another volleyball player, Phạm Thị Hiền of Binh Chủng Thông Tin – TCT Đông Bắc, also received good news with her promotion from Lieutenant to Senior Lieutenant in the professional military ranks.
