The comeback of middle blocker Vũ Ngọc Hoàng is regarded as a key pillar for the Hanoi men's volleyball team to keep their hopes alive in securing their place in the 2025 National Championship.
The Hanoi men's volleyball team will receive an important addition as middle blocker Vũ Ngọc Hoàng returns for the second phase of the 2025 National Championship, held in October in Ninh Bình. After a long period of injury recovery, the player has fully healed and is ready to compete.
Ngọc Hoàng’s absence in the first phase caused significant difficulties for the Hanoi men's team. Without a reliable middle blocker, the capital team lost all 5 matches and temporarily stood at the bottom of the table. His return promises to greatly enhance blocking and quick attacks—areas where Hanoi has been lacking.
Vũ Ngọc Hoàng is a familiar figure in Vietnamese volleyball, having been part of the national team. However, his career has been repeatedly interrupted by injuries.
During the second round of the 2023 National Championship, he suffered a wrist fracture in a match against VLXD Bình Dương and had to take a long break. In 2024, he missed the first phase but returned for the second. At the start of the 2025 season, he again missed games due to insufficient fitness.
Currently, Vũ Ngọc Hoàng is training with the team in Ninh Bình, preparing for crucial upcoming matches. The coaching staff believes his return not only strengthens the team's technical skills but also boosts overall morale.
The most important goal for the Hanoi men's volleyball team this season is to avoid relegation. In phase two, the team will face Thể Công Tân Cảng and Tây Ninh in the remaining group stage matches.
