On October 5th, the Video Challenge Eyes system was set up at Ninh Binh Sports Hall to support referees and guarantee fairness during the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.
Ahead of Phase 2 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, the Video Challenge Eyes system was installed at Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Hall on October 5th to aid match management and improve accuracy during games.
The installation was carried out by the professional department of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, while referees were also trained to familiarize themselves with the new equipment. This system allows each team two challenge opportunities per set in case of disputed situations. It is considered a crucial tool to ensure fairness and minimize disputes between teams and referees.
The organizing committee has completed the referee assignments for the matches. Each match will have two main referees along with line judges working together to manage the games. The application of modern technology promises to make the tournament more transparent and professional, while also enhancing the experience for teams and fans.
Phase 2 of the tournament will take place from October 7th to 16th at Ninh Binh Sports Hall, featuring 16 teams — 8 men's teams and 8 women's teams. The teams will complete the remaining two rounds of the group stage to determine spots for the finals or relegation playoffs.
Fans hope that the system will operate smoothly, helping to minimize unnecessary disputes and thereby increasing the excitement and fairness of the decisive matches in Phase 2 of this year’s national championship.
