The Đức Giang Chemical women's volleyball team is out of championship contention.

The Đức Giang Lào Cai Chemical women's volleyball team officially has no opportunity to enter the top 4 teams in the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

The Đức Giang Chemical women's volleyball team officially lost the chance to be in the top 4 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship following the match results between Thông tin - Đông Bắc and LPB Ninh Bình.

On the evening of October 8th, Thông tin - Đông Bắc defeated LPBank Ninh Bình 3-1 in the second phase of the tournament. This result extinguished all hopes for Đức Giang Chemical. The team owned by Đào Hữu Huyền remains in 5th place and can no longer compete for a semifinal spot, despite having one final match against VTV Bình Điền Long An.

This marks the first time in five years that Đức Giang Chemical has fallen out of the top 4 teams nationwide. From 2020 to 2024, the team consistently reached the finals and finished as runner-up. The 2025 season represents a disappointing setback, especially given their status as strong contenders before the tournament began.

Đức Giang Chemical started the season poorly. In phase 1, playing at home in Đông Anh (Hanoi) with nearly their full roster including quality foreign player Sharon Chepchumba Kiprono (Kenya), the team won only 2 matches and lost 3. This result put them at a significant disadvantage entering phase 2.

The situation worsened as the team missed key outside hitter Trần Tú Linh due to injury, and foreign player Sharon Chepchumba Kiprono was also absent in Ninh Bình. The absence of these important players significantly weakened the orange-clad team’s strength.

Failing to reach the semifinals means Đức Giang Chemical must compete in the relegation round alongside the lower-ranked teams. This outcome is a regrettable end for a team once regarded as a leading force in Vietnamese women's volleyball for many years.
