The final round of the 2025 National A-Grade Championship is expected to be thrilling and competitive like never before, particularly as every promotion ticket holds great significance.
The 2025 National A-Grade Volleyball Championship finals are set to be livelier than ever, with 4 teams strengthening their squads with foreign players, according to the latest information from the Vietnam Volleyball Federation. The tournament will take place in Ha Tinh from October 23 to November 2, aiming to select two men’s and women’s teams to advance to the National Championship next season.
Among them, the Hanoi women's volleyball team stands out as they have decided to hire a foreign player for the first time in many years. The team confirmed they have reached an agreement to recruit an American outside hitter, who is currently completing the necessary procedures before coming to Vietnam.
Coach Nguyen Huu Binh’s team impressed during the qualifiers using only domestic players. The addition of a foreign player along with Thai expert Kittipong in the coaching staff is expected to boost Hanoi’s competitiveness in the finals.
Additionally, Bac Ninh team attracted attention by signing young Thai outside hitter Nanaphat Moonjakham, a player specializing in the opposite hitter position. With the goal of reaching the finals and securing promotion, Bac Ninh hopes this foreign player will enhance their offense in crucial matches.
Similarly, the Quang Ninh women's team has also planned to add a foreign player, expected to debut once the entry procedures are completed. The team already features two prominent players, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh (currently playing for the Industry and Trade Bank) and Le Thi Yen (from Duc Giang Chemicals), so the foreign addition is seen as a key step to complete the roster.
In the men’s category, Ha Tinh team made an early impact by signing opposite hitter Assanaphan Chantajorn, a former Thai national player. He arrived in Ha Tinh from October 6-10 and quickly integrated with the team.
Meanwhile, Vinh Long, a strong contender for promotion, confirmed they have no plans to hire foreign players, despite previous rumors about strengthening their squad.
