Determining the semifinal matchups of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship

The semifinal matches of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship are expected to be highly thrilling and competitive, featuring leading clubs.

The group stage of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship has officially concluded after the final matches today, October 10. Following a series of exciting and dramatic games, the clubs advancing to the semifinals competing for this year’s title have been confirmed.

In the women's category, since they only defeated Ho Chi Minh City 3-1 in the last round, the host LPB Ninh Binh had a worse set ratio than VTV Binh Dien Long An, thus losing the top spot very regrettably.

The opponent of Coach Thai Thanh Tung and his players in the semifinals is Information - Dong Bac. It promises to be a tough match for the former champions as they face the number one favorite for the title without the key player Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen.

The other semifinal pairing will be an eagerly awaited clash between VTV Binh Dien Long An and VietinBank. Although VietinBank is the defending champion with more experience in big matches than VietinBank, the southern representative is not at full strength during this critical phase.

Meanwhile, VietinBank has shown great improvement under the guidance of Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and is ready to cause an upset against the champions with outstanding performances from Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Phuong Quynh, and the Russian foreign player Anna Belyanskaya.

In the men's category, the defending champion Bien Phong faces a great opportunity to reach this season’s final against LPB Ninh Binh. Although Ninh Binh has improved significantly and has home court advantage, Bien Phong remains very strong domestically and is the only unbeaten men's club so far.

The other semifinal will be a highly anticipated showdown between Ho Chi Minh City Police and The Cong - Tan Cang. The Cong is showing determination to make a mark in this year’s National Championship by bringing in Indonesian superstar Rivan Nurmulki, while Ho Chi Minh City Police are anxiously awaiting news on the injury status of their famous foreign player Michal Kubiak.

The semifinals of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship will take place on October 12 and 13 at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium.
