The 25-year-old Vietnamese star played her final match before moving abroad to the Asian volleyball powerhouse.

Middle blocker Trần Thị Bích Thủy (born in 2000) from HCĐG Lào Cai had a standout performance this season, playing a major role in helping the team avoid relegation. After completing the tournament in Ninh Bình, she will head to Japan to join the Okayama Seagulls club and participate in the 2025-2026 Japanese Women's Volleyball Championship.

The Japanese club highly appreciates her fast attacking ability, blocking reflexes, and proactive attitude. The contract between the two parties lasts for one season, with an option to extend based on her performance. Previously, Bích Thủy had a trial stint in South Korea but did not receive an official contract, despite having played for GS Caltex Seoul Kixx earlier in 2025.

Importantly, Bích Thủy will have the opportunity to compete against Trần Thị Thanh Thúy—the captain of the Vietnamese national team currently with Gunma Green Wings—in four matches in Japan. Their first meeting is expected on November 22 and 23, 2025. Having these two pillars of Vietnamese women's volleyball playing in Japan is a positive indicator, reflecting clear progress in the integration and growth of volleyball in Vietnam.
