Defeating the host Ninh Bình, Biên Phòng MB secured their spot in the final of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

In the first set, Biên Phòng MB swiftly took control thanks to their varied playing style and the effective attacks of their main scorers, winning 25-19 to take a 1-0 lead.

In the second set, the home team made a strong comeback. Led by foreign player Yaisel, who consistently scored from both the wings and center court, LPBank Ninh Bình built a considerable lead. Although Biên Phòng MB fought hard to catch up near the end, coach Bùi Trung Thảo’s squad held their advantage and won 25-23, leveling the match at 1-1.

However, that was the rare shining moment for the hosts. In the last two sets, Biên Phòng MB quickly regained control. Players such as Văn Tiến, Minh Trí, and their foreign main attacker maintained consistent performance, while their blockers effectively neutralized many of Yaisel’s offensive attempts.

Both the third and fourth sets were closely contested in the early phases, but Biên Phòng MB always knew when to accelerate and closed the match with scores of 25-19 and 25-20.

With this win, Biên Phòng MB further solidified their position as the top favorite for the Vietnamese men's volleyball championship.

It is noteworthy that both the men's and women's categories in this year’s tournament followed the same pattern: the defending champions Biên Phòng MB and VTV Bình Điền Long An both reached the finals. Their opponents in the championship matches will be determined after the remaining semifinals taking place tomorrow.
