The Hanoi women's volleyball team officially welcomes an American foreign player

For the first time ever, the Hanoi women's volleyball team has chosen to hire a foreign player for the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament.

According to information from the coaching staff, outside hitter Adora Anae (USA) has arrived in Vietnam and officially joined the Hanoi women's team to participate in the finals of the 2025 National A-Class Championship. This signing is expected to enhance the team's professional level and strengthen their offensive power during the decisive phase of the season.

Coach Nguyen Huu Binh shared: “Adora Anae’s presence is a major step forward for the team. She brings experience from various international competitions, helping us refine our gameplay and set higher goals this year.”

Adora Anae, born in 1996 and standing 1.85 meters tall, has played for multiple clubs in the USA, Europe, and the Korean V-League, one of Asia’s top professional volleyball environments. With her powerful wing attacks, comprehensive skills, and extensive international experience, she is considered a valuable addition to the capital’s team.

The 2025 National A-Class Championship rules state that the champion in both men's and women's categories will earn promotion to the 2026 National Championship. Therefore, the Hanoi women's volleyball team aims to win the title and return to the top-tier competition after many years of absence.

Besides Adora Anae, Hanoi also has a progressing young squad, including two players, Bui Thi Anh Thao and Vi Thi Yen Nhi, who currently play for the Ninh Binh women's team in the 2025 National Championship. The blend of experience and youth is expected to bring a fresh dynamic under Coach Nguyen Huu Binh’s leadership.

According to the announced list, the finals of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Championship will feature the top eight teams: Hanoi, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, the youth team of Thong Tin - Dong Bac, and the youth team of VTV Binh Dien Long An.

In addition to Hanoi, Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh have also registered foreign players, creating a rare vibrant scene in this year’s A-Class tournament. The finals will be held in Ha Tinh from October 23 to November 2, promising exciting contests among teams eager to secure promotion slots.
