Outside hitter Trần Thị Thanh Thúy is confirmed to be absent from Gunma Green Wings' lineup this week, according to the schedule of the 2025-2026 Japan Women's V.League volleyball season.
Instead, Thanh Thúy will participate in the SV.League All Star Game event held at 11:05 AM on January 31, 2026, at Glion Arena Kobe, Hyogo, Japan. This special event has caused a temporary pause in the regular SV.League season matches, which will resume normally from February 7.
Her appearance at the SV.League All Star Game is not only a personal honor but also highlights the standing of Vietnamese volleyball in one of Asia’s top national championships.
Thanh Thúy was not selected through fan voting but was directly chosen by the SV.League organizers, confirming that she meets all the criteria regarding skill, form, and influence within the Japanese league system.
Here, the captain of the Vietnam women's volleyball team will be part of Team Nichikaalongside top players such as Yukiko Wada, Airi Miyabe, Kotona Hayashi, and Lise Van Hecke.
Trần Thị Thanh Thúy has maintained very stable performance in the 2025-2026 Japan V.League. Last week, "4T" scored 38 points over 2 matches, helping Gunma Green Wings achieve a 1-1 record against PFU BlueCats — a club where Thanh Thúy previously had great success.
After 25 matches played, Thanh Thúy has accumulated 381 points, ranking 15th in the league and being the second top scorer for Gunma, behind Olivia Rozanski who leads with 673 points. The 1997-born outside hitter has a scoring efficiency above 40%, placing her in the top 20 this season. Additionally, she contributes significantly on defense, helping the blue-clad team climb the standings.
