This is an important piece for Bien Phong in recent seasons, helping the military team dominate the domestic scene.
The reigning champion Bien Phong continues to place faith in Thai foreign player Jakkrit Thanomnoi in Stage 1 of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship held in Dong Anh, Hanoi in April.
Jakkrit Thanomnoi, born in 2003 in Thailand, plays as an attacker with a height of 1.85m, a jump reach of 3.30m, a block reach of 3.10m, and is right-handed. This hitter joined Bien Phong from Stage 2 of the 2024 National Championship season, replacing senior Wanchai Tabwises, leaving a significant professional impact to help the military team win the championship. In the 2025 season, he stayed with the military team through both stages, contributing greatly to the club winning three trophies: the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup, the Hung Vuong Cup, and the National Championship, affirming absolute dominance in the domestic arena.
The 22-year-old hitter is highly valued for his defensive ability, stable one-touch play, solid gameplay, and effective scoring, creating the necessary conditions for players like Pham Van Hiep and Nguyen Ngoc Thuan to shine. With proven compatibility with teammates at Bien Phong and demonstrated ability in previous seasons, Jakkrit is expected to help the military team have a smooth start in the National Championship with the upcoming Stage 1.
According to plan, the Thai attacker is almost certain to join the team for the 2026 Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup, which starts on March 18 in Ninh Binh. This is seen as an important preparatory step before entering the National Championship season.
Entering the 2026 season, Bien Phong aims to be among the top four teams with the best performance. Despite being the reigning champion, the coaching staff remains cautious in professional preparations, as competitors are also making strong investments in their squads.
