Set 1: Gunma 21-25 Okayama

Playing at home, Gunma Green Wings started poorly and allowed Okayama Seagulls - the team ranked second-to-last on the standings - to lead 7-2 early. Seagulls defended solidly thereafter, thwarting all scoring attempts by the home team and preserving the result until the end of the set.

Thanh Thuy and her teammates rallied during a scoring surge but that was insufficient.

Both Thanh Thuy (5 attack points, 1 block point) and Bich Thuy (4 attack points, 2 block points) scored 6 points in the first set - an impressive performance by the two Vietnamese national team players.

Set 2: Gunma 25-22 Okayama

Set 2 continued with thrilling developments. After losing the first set, Gunma Green Wings started with great effort and achieved some success, but with Bich Thuy's excellence on the opposing side, Okayama Seagulls caught up and even created a 5-point gap before the scoring surge.

It seemed Okayama would win to lead 2-0, but Thanh Thuy and her teammates awakened, playing exceptionally well in the final stretch to complete the comeback.

After the first two sets, Thanh Thuy had 9 points, while Bich Thuy had one point more than her compatriot.
