Thanh Thuy, the outside hitter, leads key statistics at the 2026 AVC Cup.

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy continues to be the number-one expectation for Vietnamese women's volleyball at elite tournaments.

Outside hitter Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is among the top players in two crucial individual categories at the 2026 AVC Women's Volleyball Cup being held in Candon, Philippines.

According to the data from the FIVB Live Center, Thanh Thuy tops the attack points tally at this year's event with 68 points (approximately 44% efficiency), temporarily ahead of Fatemeh Khalili (Iran) and Tatyana Yatskiv (Kazakhstan) in the top three. When total points (attacks, blocks, and serves) are combined, "4T" ranks third behind Khalili and Yatskiv.

Vietnam has two other players in the top 10 scorers as of noon on June 12 (Vietnam time): Vi Thi Nhu Quynh (53 points, 7th place) and Tran Thi Bich Thuy, who is right behind with two fewer points.

As always, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is the top star and the solid anchor of Vietnam's women's volleyball team in premier world and continental tournaments. At this year's AVC Cup, "4T" has had to handle both scoring and serve-receive duties, and in the last two matches she even had to play on her weaker left side as an opposite, yet she still manages to shine.

Nevertheless, the Vietnamese girls have not been entirely convincing during the group stage of this competition. Thanh Thuy and her teammates finished second in Group B behind Kazakhstan, and the loss to the Central Asian side is the first defeat for Vietnam in the history of AVC Cup participation.

In several other important categories, Bich Thuy currently ranks second in blocking stats with 13 points, behind only Yuliya Fomenko (18 points). Additionally, Vo Thi Kim Thoa leads the setter rankings, although the passes from the VTV Binh Dien Long An star have not been entirely consistent, while Nguyen Khanh Dang is temporarily fourth in digs.
