AVC for the first time engages in that with the continent's top player.

The season's most outstanding Asian volleyball athlete will receive due honor and reward.

Federation Volleyball Asia (AVC) has just unveiled plans for the AVC Gala Awards 2026 – an event celebrating the continent's top individuals and teams in volleyball. This marks the first time in history that the AVC is staging a large‑scale awards gala, signaling a new step in recognizing and honoring contributions to the sport in Asia.

According to the schedule, the AVC Gala 2026 will take place on August 8 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event is expected to become a grand festival for the Asian volleyball community, gathering numerous players, coaches, referees, and representatives from member federations across the region.

This year's gala will present major awards in various categories, including for the first time prizes for the best players in men's and women's indoor volleyball as well as men's and women's beach volleyball. Additionally, there are categories for Coach of the Year and Referee of the Year. However, no Vietnamese volleyball representative appears on the nomination list.

Fans will take part directly in the voting to decide the winners. The official voting period runs from June 8 to June 30 via the link: https://avcgala.com/voting/

Final results for individual categories will be determined by two evaluation sources: 70% of the score comes from the AVC professional committee, while 30% is based on fan votes.

The AVC's first‑ever continental‑level awards gala is regarded as a significant milestone for Asian volleyball. The event not only acknowledges outstanding achievements in 2025 but also enhances the image, appeal, and value of the sport in the region.
